Jyurakudai
of Timeless Elegance
This authentic shoin-zukuri residence, embodying the refined essence of Japan, is a distinguished historic building constructed in 1940.
The special suite spans two levels, offering an exceptional sense of space and privacy.
On the first floor, guests may enjoy their meals while gazing out over a beautifully landscaped garden.
This level also features a private open-air bath and an indoor bath, allowing for a relaxing and exclusive bathing experience.
The second floor, crafted in traditional shoin-zukuri style, is adorned with intricately carved ranma transoms depicting the ‘Eight Views of Ōmi,’ transforming the entire space into a living work of art.
To ensure the utmost privacy and tranquility, our attendants will, whenever possible, refrain from entering the second floor, allowing guests to enjoy their personal time in complete comfort.
A Place Where Time Flows in Quiet Grace
This wing embodies the essence of Japan’s traditional culture and its deep history.
From the refined shoin-style architecture and coffered ceilings to the doen veranda and the serene garden, every detail reflects a legacy shaped by time. Through the windows, the changing seasons of Yamanaka Onsen unfold quietly before your eyes.
In this space, the building itself seems to gently speak to us—reminding us of values and sensibilities that modern life has almost caused us to forget.
